Indian Football Reports exclusive interview with Spanish football manager Gerard Zaragoza in association with Optob Interviews. Excerpts...

1. Your experience when you worked with Bengaluru FC ?

Ans: It was amazing to be part of BFC in its historic season, winning Indian Super League trophy. Worked with Carles, and the rest of the staff is a pleasure, good professionals who think in football all day like me.

2. You also coached in other countries share some experience, when you coached there ?

Ans: I coached in Senegal, in Georgia, in Qatar in Dubai, what I love the most is the kind of people I found. For me is amazing to know different cultures, and different way of thinking, cause sometimes we think that there is only one way. Then football is football everywhere, but you have to work differnetly depending on the country and what are they use to do, it's not a good idea to change everithing at the moment you arrive, is better to change little by little to achieve what you want.

3. Your views on Indian Football?

Ans: People have to know that Indian Football is improving every year, is getting better year by year and that's a fact. It needs a really hard and professional work inside the academies to prepare the young talents. Would be better if they arrive at the first team with the league level, this will improve the level of the competition.

4. If you get the chance to sign 3 players Indian players, which players would you will sign & why ?

Ans: Obviusly, Sunil Chhetri, as a leader, as a captain, as a human being. Gurpreet Singh, because for me he is one of the best goalkeepers in Asia, and Khabra Harmanjot, because of his professionalism, because of his versatility to adapt in every position on the field.

5. Are you looking to come again in India ?

Ans: Would be a pleasure to come again, let's see what happen in the near future.
